Slow Cooker And The Frog State

To start with, I've never cooked with a slow cooker in my entire life. They mention lots of it's benefits, from increased nutrient retention (vitamins, minerals etc) to reduced fat and so on.
But again, I only heard about it, know how it works a bit and recently I learned that it has been in use for a long time etc etc.
The way I see it; slow cooker cooks slowly :)
I'll briefly talk about what it reminds me of in life.
When I heard of slow cooker, one of the things I thought about was boiling frog.
You know the saying. Put the frog in water, start heating the water and the frog will not jump until it is too late.
I don't know whether it works on each and every frog, but still, you get the idea.
Same thing everywhere - comfort zones - at home, at work and in your daily life.
Get too much comfortable in what you are doing and boom; you are the frog.
If you are not one of the lucky or skilled ones that can jump out, then you are a dead frog.
Well, you may think, at least you die comfortably. Maybe. I don't know. I guess I have an embedded temperature sensor. As soon as the water heats up, I jump :)
And so far it works well for me and I wanted to share this experience with you.
Anyway, you got the idea...
Speaking of frogs, I've read the book "Eat That Frog!" by Brian Tracy a few years back and it might help you jump out of the slow cooker you're in - if the lid is not closed yet of course :).
Stay warm (but not too warm :),
